Three witches of Scotland

In the very first scene of the play MacBeth, we are introduced to the three.
Therefor, we as the readers should assume that these witches will have an important role in the play. I would like to tell you my reasons in why I think that they will. The first thing is their appearance and why they present themselves in such a way that make them unrealistic to others. By their predictions and what prophecies they reveal, and to whom. Finally my personal opinion on how these prophecies will have great effects on the characters in this play. I sense that all of these details will be very important factors in what will make these witches quite significant. .
When I think of a witch, I think of them as being old hags who are bleak and rugged in appearance. A supernatural with evil intentions and place spells on people to intentionally cause harm to others. My images of them seem to be somewhat true after reading the first part of MacBeth. Shakespeare describes them to be three weird sisters with individual powers. Also, the sister's way of presenting themselves in such mysterious ways makes us wonder what kind of being they are. Like entering into the play when it is thundering, how they are dressed, and the ways in which they speak. Their ability to appear and disappear when they want without any trace of their existence put disbelief in the mind of the reader and in the mind of the other characters in the play. These qualities make you uncertain and wonder if these witches really do in fact exist, or if they are simply just creatures of our imagination created by the author. .
One of the most powerful characteristic about these three sisters, are their predictions and the prophecies they tell. First, we can look at the first prediction that the witches had which was in Act 1, scene 1, when they know in advance about the outcome of the battle that was being fought in Scotland. Which in turn made the sisters decide when and where to meet MacBeth to reveal his fate This would be when MacBeth and Banquo were on their way back from fighting the battle.
