Who is going to change? How? Why?

In the story, Famous All Over Town, by Danny Santiago from the book "Connections" by Judith A. Stanford Rudy a young boy who is struggling to choose between the life of a drug dealer and something the total opposite. Eddie, on the other hand, is a straight-A student who does everything right and never gets into trouble. Rudy is doing his best to straighten up by not getting in trouble but doing so also gets him in some problems. Between these two boys, he is the one that I think will change the most in life to succeed.
Rudy is on the track that will require him to bring extreme changes to himself for him to follow the right path in life. With a little more effort, he can change himself and turn his life around. He will have to change his attitude and open his mind for new ways of living. To do this, he must focus, do exceptionally well in school and behave like a good little boy. He will have to stay out of gangs and other activities that can get him in trouble. For him to stay out of troublesome gangs, he will have to make some new friends who can teach him news ways that have good and safe intentions.
Looking at Eddie, Rudy can follow his footsteps to become a great person and succeeding in life. Eddie can be a role model and also a teacher or a mentor to Rudy. Based on the information Danny Santiago provides in this short story, Rudy is the one who seems to be the centerfold rather than Eddie. This also changed my mine that Rudy will be the one who will need the changes. Rudy needs to change his lifestyle because the future that awaits him in the wrong path is either imprisonment or being a victim of gang fights. By changing now, he can avoid endangering the life of others and his own.
Eddie has already worked hard and cleared his way to success; therefore, he does not need much change to be successful in the future, so Rudy is the only one left who needs and will change.
