When I realized my SAT I score had come, I closed my eyes and prayed for a high score. My hands were shaking as i held up the enveloped. With no one in sight, i ripped open the envelope and looked at my score report- an 800. I rubbed my eyes and shook my head to see if I was dreaming. The score still read 800. I hold score, shaking, and motionless. I had known SAT score was going to be challenge exam, but the result still shocked me. Throughout my school career education. I felt I was always felt intelligent and determined, but when I took the SAT I, despair and fear seized me. I felt I was prepared even though I had little time to practice for the test, but overconfident resulted a low score. My SAT I score made me feel as if I had not developed my potential and skill to do college work.
My father was inspiration when I was struggling. During the school year I had no time to study the SAT. Time consuming activities such as a job, homework, and community service occupied a large part of the day. Studying and practicing problems each day was going to be impossible for me. My father supported me when I was struggling to deal with this important exam in my education and career. He said: "Son, you will miss one hundred percent of shot, if you don't take." "Life is only giving you the best, when you try your best." He helped me realized what I should do for my life and my future. I looked back at my school grades and find my motivation to learn. Finally, I realize all the achievement made me a special person, a person with commitment, dedication, and passionate feeling toward learning. Even though I may not be the brightest and most intelligent person, but determination and attitude have change "overconfident attitude" the part of me. .
The SAT program helped me improve my weakness on the SAT I, especially my vocabulary. The usage of vocabulary also helps me improve communication with other. Instead of just memorizing words, the course has taught not only how to be calm and prepared for exam, but to rise to the standard and overcome the challenge.
