Jane Eyre

I read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. She was a very strong person throughout the book. Jane's parents died when she was young, and she was forced to put up with the cruelty of her Aunt Reed. Jane also dealt with the hardships in the orphanage, not knowing her family, with Mr. Rochester, being poor, and some other things. During her life, Jane learned and accomplished many things.
Mr. Rochester was another main character. He was first introduced when Jane was walking, and he fell off his horse. Jane helped him back up. She didn't realize who the man was until later. Mr. Rochester was left to be the master of Thornfield Hall after his father and older brother died, so he is very rich and socially superior to many people. He is usually described as being stern, but he could also be very caring at times. As the novel progressed, Mr. Rochester and Jane fell in love, but there were some obstacles between them.
One conflict in this novel was when Jane found out about Mr. Rochester's wife, Bertha Mason, who was still living. That hurt their relationship. He gave Jane an explanation about his wife and the situation he was put in. Jane had moral standards, and she thought it would be wrong to continue being together. This resulted in Jane leaving Thornfield Hall. .
A problem started for Jane when took a coach as far as she could with what little money she had. When Jane was in this new town, she had no money for food or shelter, so she slept outside that night. When Jane awoke, she went around town begging for food or a job. No one wanted to help her except a farmer who gave her a slice of bread. The following day she came to a house and saw two women. Jane then went to the door, but Hannah, the servant, refused to let her inside. A man named St. John finally let Jane come in. St. John and his two sisters, Diana and Mary, provided Jane with food and shelter. When they asked Jane her name, she told them Jane Elliot, a false name.
