Deconstrution of a magasine

The title of the magazine is Angels', which has connotations of the innocence of the target audience. The colour fades from white to red, with white symbolising purity, and red symbolising the devil. This is further re-enforced by the letters having symbols around them, with the white A' having a halo around it, and the red s' having devil horns on it. This connotes that these young and seemingly innocent children want to be more grown up. The catch line for the magazine is For little devils' which creates juxtaposition with the title.
The first feature on the magazine is What's HOT and what's NOT in MUSIC and FILMS! See what our experts have to say!' This is written in two shades of yellow to make it stand out from the blue. This would make the potential reader want to buy the magazine, so that they could learn what the current trends in music and film are. The word experts' suggests that only they know what is truly hot or not' at that time, and would create an elite group amongst the readers, who would then maybe consider themselves as an expert.
The Justin Uncovered' feature has slight sexual connotations, so may interest a reader of this age. Most teenage girls are generally interested in celebrities, and Justin Timberlake is one of the most popular at the moment among this age group, so would attract a lot of attention to the buyer. The red writing makes it stand out from the cover, but also involves the devilish connotations, so shows temptation. Potential buyers would know who Justin Timberlake is just from seeing his first name alone, hence why it is only Justin Uncovered' and this shows how recognised he is. This also creates the illusion that the reader may know' him and be on first name terms with him, as if he was one of their friends. .
The next feature on the cover is the Matrix scene. This may not be known by first glance at the picture, so the writing besides it anchors the picture.
