For those of you who know me, you know that I have been a part of this church for a very long time. I was here when they rang the church bells for prayer and when there was grass out the west side door. I remember when the only "worship team" for Fire Escape was me, Scott Kirk, and James and Tammy. Those were the good old days .
Throughout my life, I have been involved in this church in a number of ways. It was easy for me to get into the routine of things and just doing them because I've always done them. I would just go to church on Sunday and Powerhouse and Frontline on Wednesday because that's what I always did on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. It got to the point where I was pretty much spiritually dead and just stuck in the motions. I didn't really feel God inside me unless it was during a real spiritual time like camp or Mexico.
Since the time I have known James and Tammy, they have lead and taught me in many different ways. I cannot even count the times when they helped me out with something that I was having trouble with, or making me laugh, or just being there to listen. I cannot thank them enough for putting up with me over the years that I have known them and they will always have a special place in my heart. I also want to thank God for giving me the courage and guidance in my life and for leading me to get baptized. I want to thank Jenna, Nick, Ryan, Melissa, Scott, the rest of my friends, and my family who stood by me, supported me, and loved me. I can't wait to see the exciting things that God is going to do in my life and theirs!.
