             The was that men have dominated women in the early ages in such a barbarous way, by now women should have learned from this in today's society and overtake the men. In order for the women to do so, they must avoid direct domination from men, they must stop trying to feed off of male power and they must not trust men as they could lead to a disastrous downfall. These examples are clearly mentioned throughout the play Hamlet, bye William Shakespeare. Thinking of women domination, the one question that arises is why have women not taken over already?.
             Women's role in society has often turned out to decide the future of man. Odds are, with the 51 percent of women in the world, that they will either have the majority vote or just be able to control their spouse's beliefs. In the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare, women play a major role in the life of the men in the play. To accomplish this, the women of the play get dominated by the men, they try to get power from the men and they get caught up in the men's problems, which lead to their downfall. With the very important role that women play in today's society, women should have the power to overtake the men knowing that barbarianism is not used today as it was in Shakespeare's time.
             Throughout history, there have been many cases of power-hungry women. Some women will do anything for money, fame and power. If a situation arose where a woman had to choose between a powerful man, and a man with less power, the decision would be obvious; the powerful man. In the play Hamlet, Gertrude is faced with a similar situation. She must choose between Hamlet, the less powerful man, and Claudius, the extremely powerful man. Hamlet confronts her and asks what her decision is, to which she replies: "O Hamlet, thou hast cleft my heart in twain." (III, IV, 156). Hamlet then replies: "O, throw away the worser part of it, / And live the purer with the other half.
