Bilingual Ballots

Bilingual ballots are not needed by numerous people. Why squander millions of taxpayer's dollars for ballots to be translated with a high possibility of translation errors? Who knows why?.
The focal ground in stopping bilingual ballot production is that they are unneeded. To become apart of the constituency you must be an American citizen. While applying for an American citizenship you must show an understanding of the English language, including the ability to read, write and speak simple words and phrases and in ordinary usage in the English language. But for voting, the immigrants can revert right back. If the immigrants can't understand public debates, issues, or the positions of the candidates, how can they know who to vote for?.
Chances are that the translation doesn't come out to great either. In New York City's 1993 Chinese ballot erroneously printed the Chinese character for no as a translation for yes. But the worst translation of all is oral translation. A few corrupt translators could easily decide the outcome of a poll. Voting fraud is made easy thanks to bilingual ballots. A single precinct in San Diego County was found to have 30 verifiable legal aliens out of just 313 registered voters. Illegal immigrants voted in Fresno and Tulare County in November 1994; and a prominent legal alien - a Mexican businessman and a publisher of a Spanish language newspaper - cast a ballot in both 1992 and 1994, despite his lack of American citizenship. The translations have large errors and help for fraud too. So are bilingual ballots enough to guarantee an informed vote?.
The federal government should not pay the estimated $27 million cost of translating ballots into various foreign languages. It is a waste of the taxpayer's money. The money could be better spent teaching the immigrants English. Why waste cold hard cash on something so corrupt and unused?.
Basically it comes down to this: If you are going to be a citizen of a country, you should speak the official language which for the United States of America is English.
