The Future Of Work

Globalization will change the future of our workplace. Harder competition, more competitive market and an ever -increasing technology will altogether shape the future of work. These inevitable changes will be faced by the 21st century generation. This issue need to be addressed since most people spend more than one-third of their daily time in their workplace during their productive years and therefore a change in working environment will have significant effects on people's life in general. What kind of future are we heading to? Will the future of work bring us into prosperity or misery? It is doubtable that modernization will transform the world into better place to live, as is believed by some people. .
It has been claimed that modern workplace will invent more employment in the Third World Countries because some investor in First World Countries will move their factories to Third World Countries. By creating more jobs, so this argument goes, The Third World Countries will grow more rapidly and improve the citizen's well being.
However, as The First World Countries move their factories to The Third World Countries, they usually also send their own employee to be positioned in the high-paying job. The peoples in Third World Countries will be exploited only to do a blue-collar job and therefore create a modern imperialization where the Third World Country's citizen will be dominated by foreigners. .
It has also been claimed that modern workplace will offer us more flexible working hours, more salary and choice of workplace. Unfortunately, these benefits are only available for the privileged few. This will widen up the social gap which will brings more social problems. Some optimist argued that this condition is only for a temporary time. This is a contradiction to the fact that there has been an increasement in the number of slum emerged every year.
The optimist also asserted that since the routine task is being done by computers and heavy machinery, the future jobs will bring us to a more creative nature.
