Improving Our Business

There are many companies in our market that have, as the saying goes, gone "belly-up". Sometimes is because of a lack of initiative and an incredible surge of stuborness. Some companies want to learn everything on their own and do not want to open the spectrum to see other ways of expanding their business. This should not happen to our own company. There are other companies in our market that have experienced great success, and there is not reason why we cant learn from them.
There is plenty to learn from other companies that will help our own business to grow. Taking the best idea from three companies will help us get the necessary information to improve our own services and expand our market. I have gone out into the field to investigate why certain companies have been so successful. The first company I researched was Fed-ex. Another company that has had tremendous success is UPS. And the final company that has experienced a lot of growth is USF Holland. Together, these three companies can give us some serious insight as to what are the best strategies to use. .
First of all, Fed-ex offers a some very interesting views as to why they are so successful. One of them is the ability to think of new idea and not be afraid to follow that idea. Another reason for their success is their transportation management system, which help drive a serious competive edge. They also have a very good idea of what a customer expects and also what a customer really dislikes. With these main strategies, Fed-ex has seen their business take off. .
Mark Twain once said, "The man with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds". This phrase could be applied to Fred Smith and Federal Express. It all started with a new an innovative idea that no one else had accomplished. It was the idea of guaranteed overnight delivery. From their beginnings in Little Rock, Arkansas in the early 70's delivering 186 packages overnight to 25 U.
