Then finally Anton could not swim anymore and turned back but because he was so tired he started to drown, Vincent came to the rescue and swam caring Anton all the way back to the shore. .
For Vincent this victory meant a lot, he got a new sense of willingness and courage to try pursue a career in the space industry. He also knew that if he tried his hardest he could achieve anything he wanted. After that race he moved out of his house without letting anybody know to go search for work.
He had hardly any luck of getting the work he desired. The closet he got to working in the space industry was cleaning the windows of the institution that sent astronauts to space (Gattaca). Although he wasn't doing a reasonable job he still stayed determined to find his desired job.
After all that heartache throughout his life he finally got a lucky break. He heard from friends of a person who changes people's identities from an unknown person like himself to a very well known and respected member of society.
He meets this person, and finds all about Jerome Morrow including that he is a paraplegic and that he is DNA code is perfect. Jerome tells Vincent that no one knows that he is a paraplegic and with a DNA code like his he has no excuse to fail.
When Vincent goes for an interview to get into Gattaca, he becomes known as Jerome Morrow and to get the job all they needed was a sample of blood from his fingertips.
Life at that stage was great was great for Vincent, he felt on top of the world like he could achieve anything and it even became better because the director of Gattaca announced that in one week they will have their anniversary trip to Titan. Vincent realised that finally his dream to go to space would become reality.
Vincent was fitting in perfectly in Gattaca, so perfectly that's where he meets the love of his life Irene. Irene also did not have a good DNA code but she only worked in Gattaca and had no chance of going to space.
