9-11

Student Attitudes Towards the 9-11 tragedy.
To the council members of the Paradise Valley Community College, after the terrorist attack many students not only on this campus but all over America have changed in one way or another. Many of them emotionally changed or helped out as much as they could because of the events happening on September 11, 2001. To begin with, Many students did not take this so lightly. In fact, many of them went threw such a hard depression that they had to drop out of school just because this tragedy was just to much for the individual. For example, one of my best friends dropped out last semester because of this. He told me, "I felt so bad for everyone that was involved with the Twin Towers incident. So many innocent people died that and, so many firefighters and policemen died just for doing there job. Its shame!" Finally, after the terrorist attack the red cross needed help. Many Americans stood in lines for hours just to donate blood for the victims in New York City. These people did this because it was patriotic duty to do so. And that they could say that I saved a life! In conclusion, paradise valley community college should have a group counseling center for those individuals that were or still are affected from the 9-11 terrorist attack. I believe that by doing this, this will help out many people with there loss or help get over there depression by interacting with other people with the same feelings as the individual does. Also, this should reduce hate crime acts amongst those how are an middle eastern heritage.
