Family Traditions

In every family there are different traditions. Some have existed for generations and others have only just been introduced. Most traditions are kept because they are so much fun, bring the family together, and offer a chance to create many happy memories with loved ones. Throughout my childhood, everything was always done as a family because my dad insisted that our household was not a democracy. Not that I hated spending time with my family, but it's only now that I"m older that I fully appreciate the many new traditions we created. The reason I mention this is because when first arriving, guests must wait to be seated. Instead of .

waiting outside, my family heads straight to the bar, orders drinks, chips, and a couple of margaritas for the older ladies. Then we are seated to order our food. By the time the waiters bring out the meals, everyone is loosened up, telling stories and laughing hysterically. After eating, we serve the cake, I open presents, and the waiters come to the table with a huge sombrero, maracas, and tambourines sing me Happy Birthday.
