Should Uniforms be banned at High Schools?

 

            Uniform should not be banned at Park Hill Secondary College for the following reasons; It sets a sense of equality between students, students represent their school pride and reputation when out of school boundaries, it allows students to truant easier and lastly because concentration will be on the students own fashion sense and not on their studies.
             Uniform at Park Hill Secondary College sets a equality between every single student. It does not categorize between rich or poor and how trendy or untrendy a student may be. If students wore casual everyday, a significant change would be noticed between peoples behaviour and a rise in prejudice towards each individual. Every student would be pre-judged on what they wear and not on who they really are. Uniform allows every student to be treated equally at first and then further judged on their own personality.
             Students are given the responsibility to represent their school when out of schools grounds. It would be harder for teachers or people of the public to identify who students are and who they represent when they are out of uniform. Students in uniform behave similarly the same when out of school boundaries because they represent and maintain the same pride and reputation of Park Hill Secondary College. Without uniforms, the school would not have one reputation or identity, but countless ones.
             It is true that a normal part of life is for students to set their own personality and identity. With uniform, they wouldn't be able to show off their own personal tastes and true identity. Students have many chances to set their personality in casual clothes many times. To list a few there's - Casual days, during physical education practical work classes, after school activities, out of uniform excursions and ample more oppurtunities. .
             Without wearing uniform, students will be hard to identify which will allow them to truant easier. The public would be unable to identify truanters, allowing students anywhere without being caught.
