Many believe in things that other do not. Opinions are different everywhere you go and they always will be. When evidence and logic is given, the truth comes out. George Orwell provides three axioms; each made up of statements dealing with power, stubbornness, and cowardice. All three axioms relate fully to his controversial novel, Animal Farm. The unalterable law of life, corruption from power, and the threat of cowardice will all be discussed. Nevertheless, the unalterable law of life is the only disagreement. Both corruption from power, and the threat of cowardice are agreed upon. There are only two vast degrees of agreement, agree or disagree. There is no in between when discussing these prominent statements.
"The unalterable law of life," as stated by Mr. Orwell. "Life will go on as it has always gone badly." Although this is agreed with, the fact is that it is disagreeable when present with historical proof. The American Revolution, caused mainly by taxation without representation, bonded Americans together in revolution because of the bad life they wanted to change. Now throughout time, the lives of the surviving Americans have improved greatly. They were now represented and their life was not as it had always been. Likewise the poor treatment of animals causes revolution. Mr. Jones, the Manor Farm owner, mistreats his animals to the point where they rebel and take over the farm. Once again the conditions of the victims grew from bad to good through their important actions. From these two evidences it is simple to conclude that the "unalterable law of life", may actually be alterable.
Ambition, selfishness, and hypocrisy can be summed up into one statement, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." To clarify, go back to the time of Adolf Hitler, Mr. Corrupt himself. As a young man he became a part of the Nazi regime. There he began gaining power, the power to corrupt. As he gained more and more power, Hitler gradually became more corrupt until the point where he finally began exterminating millions upon millions of innocent human beings.
