I am going to study the history of Native Americans so that I can find out how they changed and adapted new ways to live.
II. I predict; that as time progresses on and the natives get smarter they will learn better ways to fin for themselves and for their families.
III. The materials that I used are as follows; the computer so I that I can look up information off of the internet, I will also use pencils, colored pencils, poster board, construction paper and glue.
IV. First off I am going to make my hypothesis and predict that the Native Americans will change in the progression of time. Then I will go on the internet and look up information that I need to complete my project. I am also going to make my three class tables that will go on to my poster board. After that I am going to write my first draft and bring it in to get it proofread. That brings me to my final draft typed.
V. My poster board will be on display in the kiva+.
VI. My hypothesis was true because of all the information that I found on the internet. The information showed me that the progression of time is inevitable and the Native Americans were very smart people, given the way that they learned and taught one another. The Native Americans that I chose to do my report on are from Ontario, Illinois and the South Eastern United States. They are from the paleo, early, middle and late archaic and woodland periods. They were hunters and gatherers. They used hand held spears to kill and through the periods they developed better projectile points and more ways to use the animals that they killed. .
Furthermore, they gathered fruits, berries, nuts and seeds. They depended on foods available seasonally, but they may have supplemented their winter diet with dried foods. They did not cultivate plants. The gatherers would go out for miles gathering food in pouches that were waterproof.
In summary, this project has brought me great deal of knowledge about the lifestyle of the Native Americans.
