He scored, rebounded, passed, played outstanding defense, and most importantly became one of the most inspirational leaders ever to play the game. Throughout his career he won nine scoring championships, four most valuable players (MVP), and most impressively led the Bulls to six National Basketball League Championships. In 1996 Jordan became the first player ever to win the regular season MVP, the All-Star Game MVP, and the NBA finals MVP. He was also named one of the fifty greatest players in NBA history in 1996. He started out with the Chicago White Sox minor league team. He ended up being exceptionally good in the field, but couldn't make contact at the plate. Then a year later in 1995 he decided to lace up his air Jordan Nikes again and get back to the court. In 1998 he then retired for what we thought would be for good. Then again in 2001 he returned to the basketball court again wearing number 23 but now as a part of the Washington Wizards. It didn't take long for him to decide for the third time to announce another retirement. At the end of the 2002-2003 season, Jordan's outstanding basketball career will end. .
