It was about a person who wanted to be a football player, and play at Notre Dame ever since he was a little kid. It shows how hardworking Rudy had to be to reach this goal. It had many examples of emotions that were going on while he tried to be a star football player. The three I am choosing to discuss about is sadness, anger, and happiness. Rudy expresses these Three emotions clearly to understand how he was feeling and I will tell you why and how he felt when these emotions took place.
Rudy had a very good friend. He was the one that was always there for him and he was the one that actually believed in Rudy's dream. For his birthday his friend bought him a Notre Dame jacket. This meant a lot to Rudy because it showed that his friend cared and believed in what Rudy wanted to do with his life. Rudy and his friend used to work for his dad together, and while they were working Rudy's friend was killed. The emotion sadness, was what took place in that scene.
The day of Rudy's friends funeral was the day that Rudy took a big step to achieve his goal of being a football player at Notre Dame. What he did was he went there and took classes at a different school so he could be promoted to attend Notre Dame College and try to make the football team. He worked extremely hard to pull up all his grades and he did very well but the first 3 times he was not excepted and this was a big let down for him. Mostly it made him anger because he put a lot of hard work effort and money into this dream and he was angry that he was doing his best but it still wasn't good enough, so the emotion that was taking place in that scene was anger.
After that he did get into Notre Dame. This was very good and it made him so happy because he was so close in getting his dream. He tried out for the football team. He wasn't the greatest biggest player on the team but he showed the most effort on that whole team.
