Armenians were called the "loyal nation- because of their loyalty and ability to interact with the Ottomans. With the start of the declining of the Ottoman Empire, the European powers began to incite Armenians to become independent. Although, there were many Armenians who were fighting in the Ottoman armies against the enemy, most of the Armenians launched massacres against the women, children and the aged in the Ottoman villages. In World War I, while Ottomans was fighting with Russian armies, Armenian Guerillas started to fought against Turks. The Ottoman Empire tried to solve the Armenian problem for months by taking only local measures. However, when it became crystal clear that the Armenian community was in rebel against the state of Ottman Empire, the Ottoman Empire replaced Armenians in the region who actively joined in the rebellion. With this measure the Ottoman Empire also planned to save the lives of the Armenians who were living in civil war, because Turks started to counter-attack against the Armenians. Consequently, Turks did not apply any genocide to the Armenians in 1915 relocation.
In the website of Armenian institute it is said that "The Armenian Genocide was centrally planned and administered by the Turkish government against the entire Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire. It was carried out during W.W.I between the years 1915 and 1918. The Armenian people were subjected to deportation, expropriation, abduction, torture, massacre, and starvation.""(www.armenian-genocide.org, 2001) They also assert that "The great bulk of the Armenian population was forcibly removed from Armenia and Anatolia to Syria, where the vast majority was sent into the desert to die of thirst and hunger. Large numbers of Armenians were methodically massacred throughout the Ottoman Empire. Women and children were abducted and horribly abused. The entire wealth of the Armenian people was expropriated.
