Opening a new story in which Voldemort comes back to power, to be told in the fifth book. In this book, there are the themes of power and servitude, there are many other sub-themes. I think the author is trying to get through is how this world envies others powers, and how we enslave many through our ignorance. Also standing up to what you think is just is, I think, is the main point of this book. .
In this book many themes can be talked about. The two powerful ones are Power and Servitude. Why do I say this, well here go a few examples. The house-elves serve the wizards and many working-class wizards" work for more powerful wizards, whether serving the evil Voldemort, or the righteous Albus Dumbledore. The students serve the teachers, and the teachers serve the administrators and the ministry of magic. Power is wanted from the evil wizards, they want dominion over everyone. The three magic schools show who has more power to win the tournament. Also more powerful wizards control over those with less power. "And you volunteer to go fetch me a substitute? I wonder . Perhaps the task of nursing me has become wearisome for you, Wormtail? Could this suggest of abandoning the plan be nothing more than an attempt to desert me?" " No my devotion to your lordship-" (9). In this quote you can see that Voldemort has servants to take care of him. .
I claim that the themes are Power and Servitude. You can see very well what I meant by the last paragraph. In the last paragraph I wrote more about servitude, now I will write about power. A good example is the Bartalemule Crouch, a ministry of magic worker. He had a house-elf who served him without reproach, was sacked because she happened to be near the dark mark. This again falls in servitude, but he dismissed her greatly because it appeared to seem that winky (the house-elf) cast the sign. Mr. Crouch doesn't like to meddle in that sort of business, he doesn't want his reputation damaged, he wants to be able to make himself the Prime Minister of magic, but he can't have servants causing him to look bad.
