The first story was "The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell. The theme of the story was don't give up. Rainsford fell off the yacht and swam to the island. When he got tired he took a break, but he kept on going. When he got to the island he slept and when he woke up he started to walk to where the light was coming from because he was hungry. When he got to the light the door opened he felt so happy because all that walking paid off. After the man opened the door they talked a little then they started to eat dinner. While they were talking it came up about the new sport that General Zaroff had made about hunting humans later Rainsford found out that he was next victim event thought he didn't want to be. Before he left to hide in the forest he got khaki hunting clothes, a haversack of food, and a long-bladed hunting knife. He was scared at first, but then he felt that if he didn't hide he would killed so he collected himself and went in many circles to confuse General Zaroff. That didn't work so the next day he dug a hole and put spikes on the bottom and accidentally killed General Zaroff's top hunting dog then he made another trap with an old tree, but that didn't kill General Zaroff he got out of the way in time, but he still killed Ivan. The rest of the time he hid in the sea and nobody could find him. If you play an instrument you might feel like you"re not going to get anything out of it in the future so you feel like quitting and you just might, but you shouldn't because it might just help you in the future. Teens today might feel like that they want to give up or they just don't feel like trying they shouldn't stop they should keep trying. Another way to say it is if at first you don't succeed try try again.
