Laura is by far one of the best friends I could ask for. She always goes above and beyond what is expected in a friend. I"m happy to say that I cannot only call her my best friend but she is, in many ways, like a sister to me too. Laura is one of the few people in today's world that will still look for good in every person she meets, regardless of their background. I look up to her for that because it takes a lot of courage to step out of today's "cliques" where some people will be just stuck up enough and say, "What is Laura doing talking to them?" .
Another quality of Laura's that I admire is her quality of not caring what people think. She can be in Mankato or somewhere else in public and do the dumbest thing while I"m sitting there with my face getting redder by the second. She will just sit back and laugh.
Laura also never gives up. If there's something she's set on going for, you know she"ll get it whether it's academically, athletically, or socially. Laura is continually pushing herself to excel in every area and that says a lot about a person.
Laura is almost always a giving person, unless it comes down to pizza. Then it's questionable (just kidding). Laura is always willing to give, even if it's the last bite of her favorite subway. She would offer it to me before she finishes. The only down fall to that is with giving you should be willing to receive sometimes too. Well, Laura will rarely accept anything from anyone. She's just too nice. She especially doesn't like it if she comes out to eat with us and we pay for her meal. Must be the "German" in her.
Laura has been a great friend/sister through good times and bad. She is always up to listening to anyone's problems, even if it's about one of the stupidest subjects in the world. Laura is never afraid to tell your what she thinks. If you ask her for her opinion, she will tell you her opinion. She won't always tell you what you want to hear.
