A comparrison between tell tale heart and a vendetta

The stories that I have read are called "Vendetta" and "The Tell Tale Heart". Both stories involve brutal murders such as using a dog to seize at a mans throat and killing an old man using a bed. Both stories have different plots and have different motives as to why they killed the person. "The Tell Tale Heart" is a story where a mad man does not like an old man's eye and so he decides to kill the man and therefore he would get rid of the eye. "Vendetta" is where a widow's son gets murdered and so she decides to get revenge on her son's murderer. Both stories include high descriptive detail that builds up tension when the point of death is near.
In the story "Vendetta", a widow is going to get revenge on Nicolas Ravolati after he brutally murdered Antoine, who was Widow Saverini's son. She trains her dog day after day until she thinks that her dog is ready to do what she wants it to do. The title "Vendetta" is a very significant title and refers to the story in every way. The word "Vendetta" is also the Italian word for revenge and therefore says a lot about the story, as the story is about revenge and death. The title also refers to the fact that if someone was to take the life of an innocent family member, it is the duty of the closest relative to get revenge on the person's murderer. The characters of the story "Vendetta" are all different in every way, Widow Saverini acts out at the start as an old and frail woman who is really emotional at the loss of her son but as soon as she sees her son's body she toughens up and vows revenge on Nicolas Ravolati and sheds no tears and acts hard.
"When the old woman received her son's body, brought to her house by the passers by, she shed no tears, but stood motionless for a long while gazing at it: then, stretching out her wrinkled hand over the corpse and she vowed vengeance".
She takes drastic actions to get revenge on her son's killer, she trains her dog, Frisky, day and night, until she thinks it is time to go to Longosardo and seize Nicholas Ravolati.
