Our Holy God Is Our Savior and Father

There are many images that we can use to label God. We can start from Creator to Shepard and Rock to Light, but the most sacred and personal in my eyes is God as our Father. Father is a word that only is truly special when we use it to talk about our earthly father and our heavenly Father as well. Father is a name that every one can relate to in their own way, because of the influence of their earthly father. In the bible there are several different meanings for father with their own twist on them. .
"You shall cry to me, "You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation!" ~Psalm 89:26 .
This bible verse shows that God is our Father and that Father is the name that we should use to call for his help. God the Father is the only being that will one hundred percent be there when you need someone to talk to. Later, in Psalm 89 it goes to say that as His children if we forsake the law and don't follow His path He will punish us but He won't stop loving and caring for us.
"He said to them, "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name. .
Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.
And do not bring us to the time of trial."" ~Luke11: 2.
Jesus taught his apostles to say to this to God when they pray. This was the first prayer that taught us to call God our Father. There are different versions of this prayer but each have the same message. That message is asking God, our Father, to supply us with our needs, to forgive us if we forgive, and to save us from hell and bring us to heaven for eternal life with Him. .
"Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice said, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit."" ~Luke 23:46 .
Jesus" death in a way proved that Jesus was the Son of God. After he said this the people at the cross remarked that they were wrong to kill the Son of God. This passage teaches us that we should truly consider God as our unconditionally loving Father as Jesus did.
