Atomic Bomb vs. Soviet Union

Thesis Statement - The dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima at the end of WWII, was not a way to intimidate the Soviet Union of our military force we could possibly use against them .
I evaluated the documents of the military diplomatic history from 1939 through 1947. From this information I came to a steady conclusion that I will defend thoroughly in this essay. The dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima at the end of WWII was not a way to intimidate the Soviet Union of our military force we could possibly use against them. .
The Atomic Bomb was used by the United States to ensure the unquestioned end to a long and costly war. At the time of the bomb dropping, Russia was allied with the United States and posted no threat to them, as nearly all the countries of the world were recovering from vast losses. The Soviet Union, during World War II, was the chief protector of the western front, fending off the entire Axis powers" advance towards Asia. .
The basis of the Cold War was the broken promise from the Yalta Conference. Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill met to discuss war plans against Germany in February of 1945. Stalin agreed to give free elections to his people and then later broke the promise by not allowing it. This is the true cause of the Cold War, which was not involved in the bombing of Hiroshima. The United States was not looking to fight another war, after being in the most horrible of their history. .
The United States did not adopt the policies of brinkmanship or the domino theory until the 1960s and 70s. That was larger message of anti-communism. Before that, we had nothing to show we were against the Soviet Union in anyway. .
My thesis that the bombing of Hiroshima was merely a plan to end the war in the Pacific of World War II is the statement that I truly believe. The documents were some opinion and I respect every one of them. But, the Cold War had nothing to do with the atomic bomb and it never did.
