Lane Frost was a man of honesty and pride. He lived a very short life, but did so many things that others will not forget. Lane was born in Utah in 1969. When he was three his parent moved to Lane Oklahoma, where he and his parents lived on a small farm. Lanes father was a proffesional bareback rider and Lane wanted to follow in his fathers foot-steps. Lane started rodeo at a very young age. He was a member of the Oklahoma High School rodeo team. Lane always had a love for bull riding. At the age of 18 Lane and his friend started going pro. He wanted to follow his fathers foot-steps and become a world champion. In 1987 Lane married his long time friend Kelly Kyle. Kelly and Lane had problems with their marrige at first with Kelly carring her dream barrel racing and Lane following his bull riding. In 1989 Lane became famous after being the only man to ride the legendary bull Red Rock after Red Rock was retired. In July of 1989 Lane Frost was riding at Cheyenne Fronter Days when he was killed by a bull called Taken Care of Business. He was barried in Lane Oklahoma, on a cold rainy day. Kelly was not at Cheyenne Frontier Days that year. It was the first one that she had not attended. In 1994 the movie "8 Seconds" was filmed to tell the life story of Lane. Although a majority of the movie is false. In Febuary of every year Guthrie Oklahoma has a rodeo called "bullmania" named in honor of Lanes good friend Freckles Brown. After Lanes death the rodeo was re-named "bullnanza" in memory of Lane Frost and Freckles Brow. .
