Teenagers all over the world go through similar scenarios and frustrations. It is either peer pressure or hurtful gossips, difficulty in adjusting to changes or self-image and even dealing with different kinds of relationships .
Have YOU ever had a crush on someone who doesn't even know you are alive or someone terribly wrong for you in many ways?.
Maria, a thirteen year old teenager in Sydney confessed that she had had a crush on her next door neighbour, Martin. Not only was that he was way to old for her and he was also married.
"My feelings were beyond my control. Every minute and second of the day I thought about him. Soon I got so caught up in my fantasies that I couldn't and didn't want to see reality. Now that I have thought about it, I think I was a little crazy actually maybe a lot. That is what love do to you, drive you crazy!" Maria says.
It wasn't until Maria had found out that Martin's wife was going to have their first baby that Maria had finally gave up her fantasies and faced reality with her heart that had shattered into a million pieces.
Maria's advice to all you teenagers out there are to TRY to be sensible or rather realistic when falling in love and don't end up in a situation like hers. And my advice is, don't get your heart broken over one guy. He just may not be THE love of your life.
Another everyday scenario that teenagers may go through is self-image, the way you see yourself. Some teens tried changing their personal qualities to be a person more cool and want to be like other typical teenagers. Have YOU ever tried to someone you are not just to be appreciated by others?.
Here goes another story. Andrew, also another thirteen year old teenager, who thought of himself as being boring as he was crazy about dinosaur fossils and not a least bit interested in bands and other typical boys things. So at drama class when the teacher asked everyone to tell their partners about themselves, Andrew made up lies to impress his partner, Kim.
