This is also when he met his new girlfriend, Elizabeth Kendall, a women with whom he would be involved with for almost five years. She had been through a divorce, and was a shy person; but she found the father figure in Bundy for her daughter. She wanted a marriage but Bundy was not yet ready. She had felt for fluctuated with Ted, then he did with her this time, and she believed that he might be meeting up with other woman on occasion. She was unaware that Bundy and his previous girlfriend had still kept in touch and continued to visit each other. .
From 1969-1972, it seemed as if Bundy's life had been changing for the better. He stated to send applications for law school, worked on a campaign to re-elect a governor of Washington, which allowed him to bong with political figures in the Republican Party. He also had performed volunteer work for a crisis clinic. Everything had seemed to be going his way. He then later met with his previous girlfriend and she was amazed with his change. They continued to meet up, she unknowingly of his other relationship with Elizabeth. She once again fell in love with him, and marriage became the topic between them two. Ted, who one was in love with this girl and could never get over her, all the sudden gave without and warning or explanation in 1974, that their hidden relationship was over. She was never to see or hear from Ted again.
After this is when the believed that Bundy has started his violent actions. His first victim to be believed is a young woman age of 21, named Lynda Ann Healy. She was a radio announcer at a local radio station, and was a beautiful, tall and slim girl with long brown hair and a great smile. She shared a house near the university with four other young women. On January 31, 1974, her and her friends went out to drink came home late, and watched television, talked to her boyfriend on the phone, and went to bed.
