When someone recovers or survives necrotizing fasciitis they are almost lways scarred and need skin grafting to repair lost skin or tissue. Necortizing fasciitis spreads so rapidly if it is not caught and cured in days death is almost imminent. Many people are badly scarred, injured, or die because of misdiagonosis; the symptoms of necrotizing fasciitis can be identified with so many other viral and bacterial disease or infection symptoms it's hard to diagnose properly in time.
