Over time trends have come and gone. Some have remained more time than others, while some have come back many years after their demise. Those that have come back have done the trend cycle, and are called the real trends. Real trends are those that not only have survived opposition at the beginning of their trajectory, but have challenged modern trends and proved competitive. Like rock and roll in the 50s, heavy metal in the 80s and rap in the 90s, the new millennium has also developed its own trend, called pop. Nowadays pop has become more than just music, it has become fashion statement, a form of speech and even a way of living. Although their have been many musical trends like heavy metal, hip-hop, rap, rock and others, Pop has developed into the biggest trend of all time.
Pop is a combination of all music genders and all harmonic styles that incorporates modern everyday life. The rise of pop cannot be traced to a specific time or to a specific artist. Some people say that the first signs of pop came from the music band the Beatles. Others believe it started with Millie Vannili and continued with the boy band New Kids on the Block. Pop in the United States has become very popular in the last couple years. Ever since Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Nsync the pop culture in the United States has become the most popular trend. It is said that three out of every six teenagers listen to pop music in the United States. Pop in the United States is considered as liberal form of living, just like the music has no rules and you can pretty much combine any rhythm you please, the pop culture is the same. Pop in Latin countries has a quite different definition. Pop is considered a combination of rock and rap in a more pleasant-sounding style. Unlike blues that gives people a sad atmosphere or rock that gives an angry mood, People in the Americas view pop as a joyful and positive style of music.
