The Transall Saga

 

            This story is about a boy named Mark. He is a thirteen-year old boy who is transported into the future. In this book, Mark has many mental and physical dilemmas that affect him throughout his journey in the new time. The plot of The Transall Saga is for Mark to find a way to get back home. Mark meets many new life forms and falls in love. During this quest to find a way home, Mark becomes stronger, smarter, and older. He grows up in the new time and slowly begins to adapt to the culture. Will Mark ever find a way home?.
             In the beginning of the story, Mark is on a camping trip in the desert. He is with his parents, who are adventurers and he is having a great time. He is roaming along through the desert at night by when he spots a strange blue light shining from the skies. He climbs a rock to get a better view of this light, when the rock slides and he falls off into the light. When he wakes up he is stunned to find that he is no longer in the desert.
             Mark awakens to find that the whole world has turned orange and red. He looks around and all he can see is orange and red. The jungles were red, the mountains were orange, the plants were orange, and the skies were reddish orange. At first he is stunned and cannot believe where he could possibly be. He begins to theorize that he was sent to a different planet and it was an alien beam. He walks into this strange jungle and makes camp in a tall tree. He soon discovers that there are creatures in the trees. These creatures were these strange bear-monkey animals. Mark becomes attached to one of them and names him Willie. He spends a lot of time with Willie and they are always together. .
             When food becomes a problem for Mark he goes out on a search and kills a big boar creature. This boar creature was attacking human looking animal so Mark killed it. Mark realizes that there are other human like creatures on the planet and he follows the girl to her tribe.
