My Life in Ten Years

I am originally from China; I moved to the U. From a small town to a big city, then to another country; from a nurse to a computer technician; I have experienced three big changes in the last ten years.
I graduated from nursing school when I was 19 years old, and got my first job in a hospital in my hometown, a small and peaceful town. After four years of insipid life in the hospital, I decided to look for different opportunities. At the age of 23, I left my hometown and went to a big city which was located in south China. It was the first time that I had ever been so far away from my home, and this led my life in a totally different direction.
There are not only a lot of opportunities but also many competitions in a big city. I had worked for two companies as a nurse, and during the work, I realized that the importance of a person with multiple skills. In 1999, I quit the job and went to school for another three years. At this time, I chose computer science to be my major. After graduating in 2002, I worked for an international company as a computer technician. I found that I made the right decision because I really enjoyed working on the computer.
In November 2002, I moved to the U.S.A with my husband, and this was a really huge change and a big challenge to me. The culture, the food and the language are totally different from my country. I have to start many things from the very beginning, such as driving, making friends and finding a job. How to cope with the difference is the work I am dealing with now.
Even though there were some big changes in the last ten years of my life, I would never regret the decisions that I made. I always enjoy the changes because this way makes my life is more interesting and meaningful.
