Chilling In the Bronx

Everyone was at school, some were skipping, and some were just being themselves. Everything was going fine until there was a knock on the door in Mr. Lambert's class. The whole class looked towards the door as he went to open it. On the other side of the door, stood a tall, skinny, pale boy. His pants were tight, his shirt was short and his shoes well they weren't the most stylish pair. The principal said that this boy was the new student in Mr. Lambert's grade 11 geography class. Mr. Lambert welcomed him in, and assigned him a seat near the back. .
"Max, would you please come to the front of the class and tell us a little bit about yourself" said Mr. Lambert. Max walked to the front of the class with his legs shaking, and his hands trembling. He knew he didn't fit in already. Just by looking at all the thugs and the girls, he could tell he wouldn't like it in the Bronx. .
"Hi, my name is Max, I just moved to the Bronx from Canada. I used to go to a school in Toronto. My dad got a transfer over here so I was forced to come to this so called school." .
"Who does this boy think he is? Coming to our school, and well disrespecting the people! I don't think so!" .
Mr. Lambert told Latoya to settle down. Max returned to his seat and Mr. Lambert continued his lesson on landforms. .
The next day Max came to school, and Tyrone came up to Max and started talking to him. Max wondered why one of the popular guys was actually talking to him, someone who wasn't too popular. Tyrone introduced him to some of the ladies, Latoya, and Mercedes. Tyrone's home boy was Phil. They were all gangsters, and not so good academically. Phil pulled Max aside and told him that if he wanted to fit in with the crowd in the Bronx, he really had to change his style. Max was more into science, and math. He didn't really care about his appearance or what people thought of him. Max also realized that not one person had the same image as him so he took Phil's advice and really changed his image.
