It's Too Hot

This major problem also helps keep this planet hospitable for us. This major problem is global warming. Maybe it's time for the society to take a look at what causes global warming. Global warming happens anywhere at any time around the world. People are aware of global warming and understand that it affects their lives in a dramatic way. As part of this planet, we should find some type of solution for what causes global warming.
Irregular weather patterns can occur because of global warming. Like the way that Hansen predicted that in 1991, "when Mount Pinatubo volcano erupted in the Philippines, and changed the climate. Aerosols, spewed during volcanic eruption, in the atmosphere can reflect sunlight, and by blocking the sunlight, then the Earth wouldn't be warmed" ("Issues and Controversies: Global Warming "). Hansen's prediction was correct, "atmospheric aerosols from Mount Pinatubo had a cooling effect during 1992 and 1993. The temperature of that area was actually lower than previous years" ("Issues and Controversies: Global Warming"). Like aerosols, carbon dioxide can also change the weather and temperature of the world. The atmosphere is made up of greenhouse gases that help retain heat. "Carbon dioxide, primary greenhouse gas, absorbs heat and retains instead of letting heat escape back into space" ("The Atmosphere"). But too much carbon dioxide can cause increase in temperature. "Since the 1800s, societies have burned fossil fuel like oil, coal, and natural gas. Burning these fossil fuels will also give off carbon dioxide. The past 25 years, scientists have measure about an eight- percent increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. With the increase of carbon dioxide, more heat will be retained, and the result of more carbon dioxide would be increase in temperature" ("The Atmosphere"). Increase in temperature would also result in glaciers melting, increasing the sea level.
