Ethical perspective

 

This is my perspective on these two ways of ethical thinking.
             When reading over the packet, I came to find myself disagreeing with one statement that I had read. "The problem with situationalism is that there really is no guidance to suggest when the situation dictates action and when it doesn't." As soon as I read this passage, I immediately disagreed with it. The way that I was raised totally disagrees with this idea. I believe that different situations call for different varieties of guidance. Every person born has had some kind of guidance, either by his or her parents, grandparents, siblings, or caretakers. When he or she gets into a situation, I believe that they think of how they were taught to handle that situation. I really don't know how else I would handle the problem. I would just know how to handle it. I believe it's all in what your parents have taught you. I have been extremely lucky to have such great parents. I can't imagine where I would be ethically without them.
             In conclusion, this is why I believe that I am part of the situationalism group. I think this has been a strong group to be apart of. With being more and more independent as I get older, I tend to make very important decisions for myself. One that I will make in the coming weeks will be where I decide to continue my education. Of coarse, many other things are present that I will need to think about. Maybe this coarse will enable me to see things more clearly and possibly learn more about myself and where I want my life to go. .

             Throughout this entire course, I have gotten to know many of the ethical perspectives. I would have to say that many of these I didn't agree with. Looking back at my first paper, I realized that I have kind of changed my ethical perspective throughout the last few months.
