Whistle blowing

What decision do you make now in a situation like this? I still position in favor of whistle blowing, because an employer can threaten you or bribe you but the situation of unethical behavior has not been solved. The purpose of whistle blowing and reporting the wrongful action is to improve society and not let employers get away with doing the wrong thing.
A case that we studied in class that really supports my position and made me realize the importance of whistle blowing was case 1.2 "The A7D Affair". This is a case where due to pressures of losing their jobs, employees did the wrong thing and wrote false reports just so their product could go out on the market. But the employees were given a wake up call when planes with the faulty brakes that they had submitted reports stating that the brakes were fine, nearly produced plane crashes. One employee named Vandivier quit his job and hired an attorney. Vandivier who could of been charged with fraud, cooperated with FBI officials and as a result caused Goodrich, his former employer to recall the brakes and make changes in its inspection, testing, and reporting procedures. Vandivier is my hero for taking the necessary action to see that the brakes are fixed or changed. The only thing I disagreed with is that he should of informed proper authorities when first asked to do unethical behavior, reason being lives could have been taken during the test flights.
A major objection to whistleblowing, is people always fear losing their jobs. But from what I have learned by doing the right thing you will always be free of guilt and will come out ahead. In 1968, an Air Force official reported of a possible two billion dollar cost overrun on the C5-A military transport plane. As a result he was spied on and fired. But after grueling court battles, he restored his job.
A book from the library titled "Whistleblowing Research", tends to portray or label whisteblowers.
