Joel walked into school the next morning, everyone stopped and talked to him but he didn't have time to talk to. He had to go up to the office and get some forms to fill out about the dance coming up that the student council was sponsoring. Everyone was looking forward to this dance; it was known around school that the student council had the best dances. As he was walking up the stairs he passed Amy, as always she wanted to stop and talk but Joel had to many things to do, so he just told her he was busy and kept walking. While he was walking off she was yelling something about him never having any time for her and that she was sick of it. A little further down the hall he stopped at his locker and opened it to get all of his books, having to carry this heavy back pack wasn't helping him save any of his strength. Just as he was closing his locker the bell rang and the hall was soon filled with students. So Joel pushed his way through everyone to get to class. 1st hour had to be one of his easiest classes. Of course geometry is going to be easy for a math wiz such as himself. That class period flew by and now it was time for English. English was more of a dreaded course for Joel but he did fairly well. As he walked in a set at his desk everyone was talking about there essays and how late they had stayed up working on them. Suddenly Joel remembered he had not finished his essay. The essay would be more then half of their grade and if he didn't turn it in he would fail for sure. But of course there was nothing he could do because he couldn't finish writing an essay in 5 minutes. The teacher walked in and told everyone to put their essays on their desk because they would be going up in front of the class one at a time a reading their essay. Joel slid further down in his chair. He was on the second row so he would be one of the first to go up. Jesse had finished his, then Chris went up. Joel was next.
