To me a role model is someone in my life that has influenced me in a positive way. They help shape the way I am in the present and what I will be in the future. They are some one that I can look to for advice in a hard situation and know that they will give me words of wisdom. They will never judge me on my past but only look to help because they really do care about me. Some one who I never feel awkward talking to about my problems because I know that it will not change their opinion of me and they will not reveal any information about me to anyone. A role model should be sincere and not out for there own good but the good of others. I think that they should be older then I am because they need to have more experience then I do and need to have a deeper insight. It would be pointless to have a role model who knows less then me. There are so many people in my life that have influenced me but there is only one that I can say is truly a role model and that is my sister Jan. .
My sister Jan is the second oldest of my five siblings and the only girl. She is thirty-two years old and has been married to a wonderful man named Kevin for seven years. She has a three-year-old boy named Dylan and a three-month-old baby named Elijah. Her husband Kevin is a schoolteacher and she is a stay at home mother. She attended Union Catholic High School then went to Union County College and finished with getting her masters at Rucker's. She had a high-powered government job in New York City, which she had to give up when she had her first Child Dylan. This was a huge change for her because she was used to being so independent and working long hours in a huge city and now her day consists of taking care of a rambunctious three year old and a helpless three month old. They change took a huge toll on her. She went from making a large amount of money to living on a teacher's salary with many burdensome bills. After Dylan arrived on the scene she had a bad case of post mortem depression and after Elijah was born the depression became much more sincere.
