I've noticed that at our school students don't always complete or turn in their homework. As they continue to not turn it in they fall behind and are put at a disadvantage to the rest of the class since that night they"ll have double homework. Although this is the students fault that they did not complete their work there is just one simple thing that if teachers would do, students could complete and turn in their homework. What teachers could do is assign less, or better yet no homework. Students are already under a lot of stress, we learn the material and do work in class, and we know that teachers are under stress too so this would give them less work! It's the perfect solution for both sides!.
First of all, students are already under loads of pressure. My days are always long and tiring. Like most other students I have to juggle school, sports, extracurricular activities, family, friends, and then all that homework! At this age kids are already feeling pressure from their parents and friends, on grades, social things and more. We definitely don't need homework to worry about. These are the years when we should be having fun and hanging out with friends. Not be stuck inside doing work, that already happens for nearly seven hours at school! Less or no homework could help us relax more, and maybe our high stress rates would go down. I know I've got enough to worry about and don't need any extra work!.
Moreover, homework is unnecessary work! It's pretty pointless if you think about it. Students are stuck in school for almost a third of the day learning and working. We do worksheets and assignments each day in class. And we always learn something new and interesting. So why have us go home and waste two or three more hours doing work when we just spent seven hours doing it! Homework is very time consuming. And wasting time on extra work isn't even logical. We work hard and learn all day in school, after those seven hours we deserve a break, not more work!.
