Fruit Description

Three days ago, I had a scientific methods class, and critical thinking was the subject of this course. The first chapter was discussing observation skills and how to improve them affecting our way of thinking. I had a home assignment about observing a familiar vegetable or a fruit and describing it afterwards. .
I chose Orange to be my fruit ,at first I didn't know what I should do at all ,but I started to stare at the orange doing nothing for about 20 minutes with no gain, that made me frustrated, as soon as I had a glowing hint passing by my mind which made me realize that the aim of this task is to comprehend that the more interaction I had with my object the more there was to see and hence the better way to observe and think. .
Now I can see a round semi-spherical citrus fruit looking like the earth from outside in a reddish yellow color called known as orange. I began to hold it in my palms moving my fingertips on it tough surface living through its rough pores like those of the strawberry; my fingertips descended two opposite valleys as if two fingers indented a sphere on both ends. After a while, I began to accommodate its surface details, so I decided to rub it against my palms. I was astonished to find a layer of oily wax on its surface excreted by the pores on the peel. It acted on its rind as a moisturizer like the one we use in our daily life.
I dared to taste an ultra thin slice of its surface to discover the zest's flavor; it was sweet just as the inner part. This encouraged me to take a thicker bite of the rind, and I regretted doing that because of its bitter taste, so I discarded it. I was so curious to reach the core of it. So I did to observe a naked orange fruit without its peel with a semitransparent edible sections of juicy flesh which has a nice fragrance having the same refreshing effect of the citrus fruits. I ate a section of the fruit .and I experienced a streaming feeling of freshness during chewing its flesh and have it melt under my teeth, which had a sweet sour taste while a cool juice dripped into my mouth and sprayed over my cheeks.
