Master cheif is able to fight his way off the ship and is able to get to a launch pod and escape. Hes able to do this with little ease and he see's many faces. You are told about the spartan project a little and how he grew up. How hes the LAST known spartan. (and elite group of persons of a test, that are "super-soilders").
The Master cheif seems almost liek the perfect soilder, Tough, fast, durable. But he is not expendable. It must really suck to be iin his shoes, the perfect soilder and all teh memeorys of his friends, all dead. I have a feelign this migth come up again in teh story later.
In the next few chapters you find out that capatin keyes had escaped before he crashed the Pillar of Autumn on the ring. You also find out that the master cheifs escape pod had went wrong and everyone else had failed to live from his life boat. He then has to get around (or through) many covanent, and he must link up with the marines that had lived off the ship and try to get off the ring.
Hes informed that the captin has been captured and he must after he can get enough marines together try to rescue the captin and the whole "command team". He enters a ship called the "Truth and Reconsiliation". This is a covanent ship that has been docked because of the damage the capatin was able to do to it before it brought the Pillar of Autumn down. John has to go in and get the capatin and fight their way out.
In the chapter after that you find out about an instilation that shows a gaint digital map and a location of a "control room". John has to get to this map by going through some of the hardest aliens in the book, and with little help from the marines. He is able to get to the map room, get the location of the map, and get out to get the place of this "control room". .
I think the book is turning out good but I am only a few chapters in and its pretty long. It seems alright for a plot but im not suer where its going to go, or how they plan on gettnig off! I dont know how the author plans on twisting it, but he better have an arm first, and I dont think he does.
