Abortion and the Right to Life

The dictionary defines abortion as the premature expulsion of a nonviable fetus from the uterus; a miscarriage. Abortion in any case is wrong. The Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade where they legalized abortion is completely wrong. When an abortion is preformed the physician is committing murder and that should be a crime.
There are two main kinds of medical abortions, both of which are murder. A woman can have a drug-induced miscarriage or abortion is prompted by taking a combination of two drugs: Mifeprex (RU 486) and misoprostol (a prostaglandin given two days later to contract the uterus and expel the fetus). Many women miscarry within 4 hours of taking the second drug, though some do not miscarry for a few days, and about 4% need surgical abortions. Mifepristone can be effective up to 63 days from the first day of the woman's last menstrual period. Another way is to take a set of shots which cause a drug-induced miscarriage or abortion is prompted by taking a combination of two drugs: Methotrexate and misoprostol (a prostaglandin given five to seven days later to contract the uterus and expel the fetus). About 80% of women miscarry within 24 hours of taking the second drug, some women take as long as one to four weeks to miscarry and 4% require a surgical abortion. Methotrexate is 92% effective up to 49 days from the first day of the woman's last menstrual period (LMP). It is only 89% effective up to 49 days.
There are also many of medical ways to have an abortion, which these two are also murder. Manual aspiration is an early suction abortion can be performed from 4 or 5 weeks from the first day of a woman's last menstrual period (LMP) until about 7 LMP. It is performed by using a hand held syringe that creates enough suction to remove the embryonic tissue through a thin tube. Developments in ultrasound technology make it possible to do procedures this early without an increased risk of a missed abortion.
