Media coverage

Media coverage tells us, the American people everything. It acts as a tool of information to the public. The media mainly focuses on celebrities, politicians and other prominent people. Sometimes the media goes over board to find a story. They"ll follow these people around stalking them and harassing them to find a story. Would you want to have to worry about the media constantly following you?.
The first reason why I don't agree with media coverage today is because everyone has a right to privacy. With the media following celebrities around and taping every thing they do, the media invades that right. Can you imagine going out to dinner with a friend and as you look out side you see dozens of camera's taping what you do, and then the next day you"re in the newspaper because the media blow it out proportion?.
The next reason is because of how people think of the celebrities. Some people hold celebrities as hero's or examples of how they want to be when they grow up. With the media exposing everything a celebrity does it can hurt how the fans of the celebrity think of him or her. The media can also persuade juries. With media televising everything they can put either a positive or negative out look on the person being charged swaying the juries" decision on the verdict. .
The last reason is because it can cost the person there career. When the media looks for stories they look for the worst in people before the good, because the American people rather hear about dramas and crisis before the good someone has done. When a celebrity is exposed doing something it can put a negative outlook on the causing employers to think twice about hiring the person for something.
Right to privacy, how people think of the celebrity and it can ruin careers are the reasons why I"m against media coverage. These people are just normal people like us and because of the job they do they"re life is always on camera.
