Gun Control in the United States

In the last few decades, there has been a trend towards discussing the gun control issue both in social and political life. When turning on the television, radio, or simply opening the local newspaper, one can be overwhelmed by the amount of murders, arrests, homicides, and other such tragedies. It is a rare occasion to go throughout a day in this world and not hear of these things. So what should be done about this crime rate? .
Many people feel that gun control violates the rights given to Americans by their constitution, by their government. Probably, there are also a lot of people who think that guns are what make Americans "Americans". I believe that the government struggle to keep guns out of the hand of teenagers and criminals is a worthy one, but when it comes to unconstitutional investigation, then it's getting out of control. The government is currently trying to accomplish laws that will keep weapons out of the hands of every one. A lot of politicians say that they want a safer America, they want the youth of America to grow up in a caring non-violent environment, yet all they really want is a more productive best in the upper class.
History proves that criminal behavior cannot be controlled by the government attempting to regulate gun usage. Gun control is also wrapped in a series of social issues such as crime and drugs. Guns have become closely linked to drugs and murder in the public mind. Drug dealing and high tech weaponry have increased the bloodshed in cities between long established gangs. Gang members predominantly use guns of crime. Many police officers are killed every year due to drug and gang related incidents involving guns. Drugs may be illegal, yet we are still having a problem with controlling them. If guns are made illegal, then we will probably end up in the same way. I believe that the solution lies in people's understanding of their obligations.
