Ethnic Violence

 

Develop countries with a large military usually complies with the United Nations rules when it suits them. .
             Governments usually include members of the opposition ethnic groups into their government to help show the appearance of inclusion. Also, they include them into the decision making process, so their views can be adhered to. Governments form special groups/committees to understand and mediate the many cultural difference between the groups. Celebrating special days like Christmas, EID, Ramadan, with the same amount of prompt and circumstances, helps to alleviate ethnic tensions and present a sense of belonging to all citizens.
             Lack of success between interethnic communities causes resentment between groups and has led to uprising and violence. Local leaders and government need to be very sensitive about leaving the minorities behind. Although, it is part of human nature to take better care of your own, this can fabricate boiling frustration and produce grave consequences.
             Religious organizations play a big part in claming ethnic tension between groups. Multicultural and interfaith services in the Mosques, Synagogues, and Churches helps to better understand the differences in between religious belief. Currently, religious conflicts are causing a lot of deaths around the world, especially in the Middle East.
             Successful Interventions:.
             The war in the former Yugoslavia pitted Muslims against Serbs, there so many atrocities against the Muslims that the American led UN forces had to intervene. The intervention was deemed successful because the senseless killings stopped, and order was brought to the nation. Today UN forces are still keeping the peace in Bosnia, and they may have to stay there until ethnic indifferences can subside and a political solution and be agreed upon by the leaders of the ethnic groups.
             The intervention of United States military in Haiti and the restoration of the elected president back to power.
