I could realize from the first day in 7th grade that things were going to be very different from what I was used to. The classes were getting harder, teachers were getting more strict, and school was not as fun as it used to be. I wasn't used to keeping up with school work. The school work was a little bit of a challenge, but it was something I had to get used to.
One thing I liked about starting middle school was the option to play football. I took part in the football athletics program my 7th grade year. It was fun travelling to different schools and playing for my school. I enjoyed playing football my 7th grade year, but decided not to play in 8th grade.
We had our first school dances in middle school. This sparked an interest in girls that will continue for a long time. There were many dances throughout the school year for different occasions. All my friends went to the dances, so I had fun hanging out and seeing all my friends. The dances were something new to me, but I enjoyed them.
