I believe that I've figured the differences between people and the decades that they were born. As in the essay by Suzanne Britt, "Neat People and Sloppy People", the differences are purely moral. As the decades have passed, especially in recent years we have become far more callus, and less sensitive to those around us.
It's easy to see, that people have changed so much over the last twenty five years. It gotten to the point that crossing others on the path, people don't even look each other in the eye anymore. Is it fear? Instilled by the media? Or to much shame at the way we treat each other to look one another in the eye.
People of the 1950's (those whose youth was predominately in 1950's), seem to share a common care for the family unit. Those of the 50's seem to be more of a tighter knit group. Far more compassionate, and definitely more people friendly. These are the ones most likely to say "how are you" in passing. These are the ones most likely to share a smile in passing.
People of the 1960's, (those whose youth was predominately in 1960's), seem to share a common trait, in their resistance. Resistance for .
anything of order. This seems to be the generation of the big turn. The turn away from the values that have made this country the great place of living, and opportunity that it is! This seems to be the group that started the ball of social decline rolling.
People of the 1970's (those whose youth was predominately in 1970's), these individuals also seem to share a common trait, the common trait of defiance, they seem to only want to do what those who would be in charge, tell them "they can't do!" They, as a majority seem to be very defiant when it comes to rules and regulations. They want to do it in their own time.
People of the 1980's (those whose youth was predominately in 1980's), now this is a group of individuals who seem to have a common trait, they all seem to have no individuality, this is by far the biggest of the fade conscious! They all seem to be portraying individuality, but they seem the be the biggest of the "Sheep Group".
