Technological innovations change the world we live in, and the way we interact with each other. I think that there are many innovations that are highly important, but if I had to choose only one, I would probably choose the Internet. The reasons are many, and varied.
Firstly, thanks to the Internet distances no longer matter so much. For example, an argentinian teacher can share his experiences teaching a particular subject with an english teacher who has to talk in his class about the same theme, even if they live in different countries. Thus, collaboration that could have seemed impossible in the past is a very tangible reality nowadays. It is important to highlight the fact that the Internet has also made knowledge accessible to everybody, provoking a revolution that cannot be dennied. .
The previous examples point out merely some one of the many advantages that the Internet provides in the education field, but we could also mention advantages in other fields, like commerce. Specifically, the Internet has diminished commercial costs dramatically, thus improving the overall performance of many businnesses. As if that were not enough, the Internet seems to incentivate innovation, which generally leads to efficiency.
On the whole, I believe the Internet has changed the way nations and societies interact with each other. Before, communication has much less fluid and significantly more expensive, the result being that people from different countries didn't get to know each other. Now, that has changed, and in my opinion that is great.
