My opinion about cars has always been simple; a transportation tool that takes someone from point A to point B. Ever since I was young I've been aggravated by the traffic jams I would get into. It bored me when my father drove his 1983 Chevy with no radio and a loud muffler noise. All the long drives made me less interested in cars since there wasn't much to do with them. But technology has advanced, and a lot of options became available in the last ten years when it comes to cars. .
Ever since I saw the movie "The Fast and the Furious", my opinion about cars has begun to change. The beginning of the movie starts showing how an undercover police officer got into a drag racing crew. He learns about the cheap imported cars and how they could be upgraded into something wild and entertaining, which could be drag raced. The point of the film was to catch the guys who raced the cars illegally. But that's not what caught my attention. I wanted to do something different to entertain myself while I was on the road. First, I bought a used stick shift imported car, and then upgraded it with a sound system that was loud enough to keep me awake while driving. I knew it was going to take some time and money to turn some of the movie features into reality, but it was all worth it because it kept me busy and time was flying.
I began to wonder how they were making all that money to put new transmissions and other after-market parts, to make those cars as fast as they were. .
