Big Bang theroy

The biggest idea in science that I was assigned to was the Big Bang theory. This chapter talks about the theory on how the universe was created in the beginning. By using astronomy scientist were able to tell that the different systems in the universe have been moving apart from each other and by calculating the movement of the systems scientist has found that all matter in the universe seemed to have came from the same spot. This spot they call it the "primeval fireball" which must have been very hot and extremely dense, and it eventually exploded which was the big bang. Gas clouds eventually gathered and their gravity pulled them together and this would eventually become a planet or a star depending on the mass of the cloud. Inside the star it was very hot and fusion was able to take place forming the many different elements that exist. .
There are two theories of what will happen to the universe in the future. The continued expansion theory where the universe will keep expanding forever and the oscillating universe theory wills the gravitational force will bring all the matter in the universe back into another primeval fireball and another big bang will occur. Both of these theories depend on the mass of the universe to happen. If the mass is too little then the universe will keep expanding and if the mass is enough then another primeval fireball will be created and another big bang. It is very hard to know if the mass of the universe is enough though because of black holes. The gravity in a black hole is so great that not even light can escape so its almost impossible to find a black hole because they can not be seen. They are also very dense which makes it very hard to make an estimate of the mass of the universe.
I feel that after reading this chapter that I now have a better understanding of the Big Bang theory and the beginning of the universe. I think that this activity is pretty well how it is by writing a report and there is no need for improvement in the future.
